What Should I Ask When I'm Ready To Buy: 3 "Whats" and 1 "Can"
October 11

Finding your next car, truck or SUV is rarely an easy process. If you feel like you're ready to take the leap on a vehicle that's located on on of our Bob Sight Ford or Kia lots, congratulations! We're happy to assist you in every step of the buying process for you. Buying a car is a big investment regardless of your budget, and it's a big commitment: chances are you'll be using it almost every day. So how do you know that it's the right one for you? At Bob Sight, our teams are ready to answer any question you might have about any the vehicles on our lots, but we also wanted to outline some of the most important questions to ask before buying a car from us.

What Will I Be Using It For?

We all have individual requirements in our day-to-day lives, and this can inform you decision quite a bit about what car you need. If you like a certain style or know that four-wheel drive is needed where you're at, that can help narrow things down. Keeping in mind the reasons why you want a new car in the first place will help you not getting swept up in potential pitfalls, such as a fancy info and entertainment center that could post a distraction from getting the vehicle with a reputation for being reliable, and in line with what you really need. Whether that vehicle is a shiny new Ford or Kia, or a great pre-owned model from our inventory, we want to make sure it's everything you want and need.

What Can't I Live Without?

Everyone has "must-haves", and if a model doesn’t have all of your must-haves, you should keep looking. These are helpful in many scenarios to help you narrow down from a selection of models. But if you need a vehicle right away and it doesn't fit, is it a deal breaker? Understand what's most important to you and your vehicle search, and if you don't mind a model that hits every one of the things you want, remember, you can always custom order your Ford or Kia through us, where you can choose everything right down to the color of your drink holder, if that's what you want.

What Can I Afford?

For a lot of us, this the first question. Your budget is undeniably important, and we at Bob Sight Ford and Bob Sight Independence Kia are aware of that. It's like that for us, too. If you tell us your budget, we will always show you our inventory that will work with what you tell us. However, if your budget is more in the pre-owned category, and if a new and beautiful Ford has caught you eye, making sure you can afford it is obviously very important. Budgeting is crucial to the buying process, and with that in mind, we're proud to provide new and used car specials for our Ford and Kia models, so you can feel good about your purchase with us.

Can I See The Car's History?

Even if you don't buy a pre-owned vehicle from us, always ask where your next car comes from. If they refuse to show you, go somewhere else! The answer to this question at Bob Sight Ford and Bob Sight Kia will always be YES YOU CAN. While there isn't a history for new models, we do offer a history report for every car that's on our lot. That's the difference with Bob Sight: we drive cars too, and we too want the best deal for our money.

Rev Up Your Trade-In Value: 4 Essential Car Prep Steps
October 18

When it comes time to part ways with your trusty (or maybe not-so-trusty) old car and upgrade to a new one, getting the best trade-in value is a top priority. By taking a few simple steps to prepare your car, you can significantly increase the amount you receive for it. At Bob Sight, we wanted to four essential car preparation steps that will help you rev up your trade-in value and ensure you get the best deal possible.

Step 1: Clean and Detail Inside and Out

First impressions matter, and the appearance of your car is no exception here. Before you take it to the dealership, give your car a thorough cleaning and detailing. A clean car not only has more appeal but also suggests that you've taken good care of it...and is more likely to fetch a higher trade-in value. Here's a quick rundown of what you should do:

  • Wash the exterior, including the tires and rims.
  • Vacuum and clean the interior, including the seats, carpets, and dashboard.
  • Remove any personal items and clutter.
  • Consider a professional detailing service for an extra shine.

Step 2: Deal With Minor Repairs

Next, take a close look at your car to identify any minor issues that can be easily fixed. Addressing these problems can make a significant difference in your car's trade-in value, boosting its appeal to potential buyers. Some common issues to check and consider fixing include:

  • Replace burnt-out bulbs and fuses.
  • Fix minor dents and scratches.
  • Repair or replace worn-out tires.
  • Make sure that oil changes and fluid top ups are all up to date.

Step 3: Get Together the Maintenance Records

Documentation helps a lot to demonstrating the history of your well-maintained car. Gather all your maintenance records, service receipts, and any warranties you have for the car. This includes records of regular maintenance, repairs, and any upgrades or improvements you've made. These documents provide a clear picture of how well the car has been taken care of and can give you more leverage in your trade.

Step 4: Research the Market

Do your homework before going to the dealership. Research the current market value of your car's make and model. Various online resources and tools can help you estimate your car's worth based on factors like its age, mileage, and condition. Armed with this knowledge, you'll be in a better position to negotiate a fair trade-in value with the dealer.

In conclusion, preparing your car for a trade-in doesn't have to be a complicated process. Making the extra effort to prepare your car will not only maximize its value but also provide you with a sense of satisfaction in knowing that you've presented a well-cared-for vehicle to its next owner.

Kia President Shares Thoughts on Recent EV Efforts
October 25

The race to lead the EV market in America stretches on, and Kia is doing its best to claim a top spot. With the launch of the EV6 crossover in 2022, Kia America held the second-place spot for EV sales during most of the year. It’s no coincidence that in 2022, 60% of Kia customers were new to the brand. “People are surprised when they get into a Kia vehicle because it’s not the Kia they remember,” said Kia America President and CEO SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon.

The next step in Kia’s efforts to become a dominant player in the EV market is to bring 15 new models to the lineup by 2027. Kia is also planning to build its newest EV, the EV9 SUV in West Point, Georgia starting next year. This move follows last summer’s Inflation Reduction Act requiring EVs to be assembled in North America in order to qualify for tax credits.

In a recent interview with TIME, Yoon spoke about Kia’s recent moves in the EV space.

TIME: The EV transition is changing perceptions around different automakers and potentially offering room for reorientation. How do you think that people in the U.S. have seen Kia before the EV transition, and how do you want that to change?

Yoon: “Before EVs, I’d say that our focus was very much on the introduction of our rugged SUVs and the sporty segments. That was our brand strategy, and it has been well-received by the market, and we’ve been doing a great job with our [gasoline-powered] vehicles. But in terms of a transition in the EV world, actually we started our EV business even before EV6, a decade ago, and this gave us and our dealers valuable experience in the space. The EV6 is Kia’s new dedicated electric vehicle, which is something really new and different. Kia had one of the most recognized brands for quality and reliability, and with the EV6 Kia had the opportunity to combine all of those positive traits in beautifully designed and technologically advanced offerings, better to help us push Kia in the United States. We had high expectations which were actually exceeded when the EV6 went on sale.”

TIME: There have been new proposed emissions mandates in the U.S. that are likely to spur EV adoption, but there have also been the restrictions in the Inflation Reduction Act, which have made it clear that U.S. policymakers want the EV transition to be strongly centered on U.S. resources and U.S. jobs. As a foreign automaker, how are you dealing with all that?

Yoon: “In terms of EVs, inevitably the opportunity is really to localize everything. The U.S. is Kia’s most important global market for sales and production, and we are managing our business aggressively as we move toward all-electrics according to our consistent planet strategy. Kia has and continues to invest in the United States, with the EV9 production starting in West Point, Georgia, next year and the Kia EVs being built near Savannah, Georgia, starting the first half of 2025. We’d like to be one of the most respected leaders in the EV world, and in order to accomplish that target we are going to make all the necessary investments in the United States.

The IRA has negatively impacted our business. But thanks to the tax credit offered for leasing, I think that we are gradually overcoming the negative challenge and getting back to the targeted path. And once we start the production of EVs here in the U.S., our brand position will improve to be as competitive as any other [manufacturer] in the United States.

TIME: Which EV model do you think is ultimately going to be the most successful in the U.S.?

Yoon: “The most important vehicle in the United States, no doubt about it, is the EV9. The EV9 is actually the perfect example of what’s to come from Kia as the first three-row mass-market EV SUV. It will be available in showrooms in the later part of this year. It combines Kia’s proven success in building SUVs that customers love like the Telluride, with the design and technology leadership of EV6.”

TIME: What do you think is the greatest challenge to EV adoption in the U.S.?

Yoon: “Actually, there is a unique element of the American car-buying personality, according to my understanding. Americans love the freedom of the road. There’s a sense that they may want to load up their vehicle with the family, friends, and belongings and head out on new adventures at any time. Therefore, adoption of EVs will need to be aligned with this desire. Technology and charging times will continue to improve, and customers’ demand for EVs will grow. But we know that many existing EV owners are not satisfied with public charging stations and infrastructure. This is considering the fact that the vast majority of owners charge on a regular basis at home or place of work.”

“To achieve the goals set by the federal government, the most important thing is building up enough infrastructure, meaning a charging network and upgrading the grid. The [Biden Administration’s] EV sales goals, given the current industry situation, I predict it will be very challenging to everybody. To accomplish those very challenging goals, only developing very attractive EVs will not be enough. Grid upgrades and comfort in charging, as comfortable as with gasoline cars, all those infrastructure improvements will be very necessary to reach the target.”

Don't Believe These Car Shopping Myths
November 10

If you're in the market for a new vehicle, you've probably heard a variety of myths and misconceptions about the car-buying process. Don't worry; you're not alone. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we believe in transparency and want to help you separate fact from fiction. Let's debunk some common car shopping myths and empower you to make the best decision for your needs.

Myth #1: Dealerships Are Always Out to Get You

One prevailing myth is that car dealerships are solely interested in making a profit at the expense of the customer. While this may be true for some unscrupulous dealerships, at Bob Sight Auto Group, we prioritize customer satisfaction over everything else. Our goal is to build lasting relationships with our clients, and that means ensuring you drive away in a vehicle that meets your needs and budget.

Myth #2: The Best Deals Are Found Online

Sure, the internet is a valuable resource for research, but the best deals aren't always found online. Websites can provide a general idea of pricing, but they might not account for your specific needs or current promotions. Visiting our dealership allows you to explore a variety of options, take test drives, and benefit from our expertise in finding the perfect vehicle for you.

Myth #3: Cash is King

Contrary to popular belief, using cash doesn't always guarantee a better deal. Many dealerships, including Bob Sight Auto Group, offer attractive financing options with low-interest rates. Financing can be a strategic choice, especially when interest rates are favorable. It also allows you to keep your cash for other investments or unexpected expenses.

Myth #4: Trade-Ins Are a Bad Deal

Some people believe that trading in their current vehicle at a dealership will result in a lower value compared to selling it privately. However, this is not always the case. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we offer competitive trade-in values and make the process seamless. Plus, trading in your vehicle can simplify the overall transaction and save you time and effort.

Myth #5: You Must Haggle to Get a Good Deal

While negotiation has been a traditional aspect of car buying, it's not always necessary. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we offer transparent pricing, and our sales team is committed to finding the best deal for you upfront. We believe in a straightforward and honest approach to make your car-buying experience stress-free.

In conclusion, the car-buying process doesn't have to be shrouded in mystery or anxiety. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we're here to debunk these common myths and ensure you have a positive and informed experience. Visit our dealership, explore our extensive inventory, and let us help you find the perfect vehicle without falling prey to these misconceptions. Happy car shopping!

Bob Sight's Guide To Car Shopping Lingo
November 17

Shopping for a car can sometimes feel like entering a new world with its own language. Fear not! In this blog post, we're here to decode the mysterious jargon often associated with car shopping. Whether you're a first-time buyer or a seasoned car enthusiast, understanding the terminology will empower you to make informed decisions.

1. MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price)

The MSRP is the recommended price set by the manufacturer for a new vehicle. While this price provides a baseline, it's essential to note that the actual sale price can vary based on factors such as market demand, dealer incentives, and negotiations.

2. APR (Annual Percentage Rate)

APR represents the yearly cost of financing a vehicle, including interest and fees, expressed as a percentage. A lower APR typically means lower overall financing costs. At Bob Sight Auto Group, our financing experts are here to help you secure the most favorable rates for your budget.

3. Down Payment

This is the initial amount of money you pay upfront when purchasing a vehicle. A larger down payment can often lead to lower monthly payments and may improve your financing terms.

4. Trade-In Value

The trade-in value is the amount a dealership is willing to offer for your current vehicle when you decide to trade it in for a new one. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we provide fair and competitive trade-in values to make the process convenient for you.

5. Depreciation

Depreciation refers to the decrease in a vehicle's value over time. Understanding how different models hold their value can impact your decision when considering the long-term costs of ownership.

6. Extended Warranty

An extended warranty is additional coverage beyond the standard manufacturer warranty. It can provide peace of mind by covering repairs and maintenance for an extended period. Our team can help you explore the available options and find the right level of coverage for your needs.

7. Invoice Price

The invoice price is the amount the dealer pays the manufacturer for a vehicle. While it's useful to know this figure, dealerships have additional costs, such as advertising and overhead, which may impact the final sale price.

8. Test Drive

This is the exciting part of the car-buying process where you get behind the wheel to experience how a vehicle handles. A test drive is crucial for assessing comfort, performance, and features.

9. Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)

CPO vehicles are used cars that have undergone a thorough inspection and meet specific criteria set by the manufacturer. Choosing a CPO vehicle from Bob Sight Auto Group can offer the reliability of a new car at a more affordable price.

Understanding these terms will help demystify the car shopping process. At Bob Sight Auto Group, our team is committed to ensuring you have a seamless and enjoyable experience. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions, and happy car shopping!

Demystifying Car Insurance
November 28

Car insurance is a financial safeguard that provides protection and peace of mind for drivers around the world. However, the world of car insurance can be complex and often confusing. From coverage types to premium calculations, navigating the nuances of auto insurance requires a bit of demystification. In this blog entry from Bob Sight Auto Group, we'll break down the key components of car insurance, helping you better understand the ins and outs of this essential aspect of responsible vehicle ownership.

Understanding the Basics: Types of Coverage

Car insurance typically consists of several types of coverage, each serving a specific purpose. These include:

Liability Coverage: This is the most basic form of car insurance and covers damages and injuries you cause to others in an accident.

Collision Coverage: This type of coverage pays for damages to your vehicle resulting from a collision with another vehicle or object.

Comprehensive Coverage: Comprehensive insurance covers non-collision related damages, such as theft, vandalism, or natural disasters.

Personal Injury Protection (PIP): PIP covers medical expenses for you and your passengers, regardless of fault, in case of an accident.

Factors Affecting Premiums: Decoding the Cost Puzzle

The cost of car insurance is influenced by various factors, and understanding these can help you manage your premiums effectively. Key factors include:

Driving Record: A clean driving record often leads to lower premiums, while accidents and traffic violations can increase costs.

Vehicle Type: The make, model, and year of your car can affect insurance rates. High-performance or luxury cars generally have higher premiums.

Coverage Limits: The more coverage you choose, the higher your premiums. Balancing coverage and affordability is crucial.

Deductibles: The deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket before insurance kicks in. Higher deductibles usually result in lower premiums.

The Road to Affordable Coverage

Car insurance providers offer various discounts that can significantly reduce your premiums. Common discounts include:

Safe Driver Discounts: Rewards for maintaining a clean driving record.

Multi-Policy Discounts: Bundling car insurance with other policies, such as home insurance, can lead to savings.

Good Student Discounts: Students with good academic records often qualify for lower rates.

Anti-Theft Devices: Installing security features in your car may result in discounts.

Navigating Claims:

What to Do After an Accident

In the unfortunate event of an accident, understanding the claims process is vital. Take the following steps:

1. Contact Your Insurer: Report the incident to your insurance company promptly.

2. Document the Scene: Take photos, gather witness information, and exchange details with the other party involved.

3. File a Police Report: In some cases, a police report may be required for the claims process.

4. Follow Your Policy: Adhere to the guidelines outlined in your policy to ensure a smooth claims process.

Car insurance doesn't have to be a perplexing maze. By understanding the different types of coverage, the factors influencing premiums, and how to make the most of discounts, you can approach car insurance with confidence. Remember, being an informed and responsible driver not only ensures your safety on the road but also helps you make the most of your car insurance coverage. Demystifying car insurance is the key to navigating the road to understanding and securing the best protection for you and your vehicle.

Navigating Winter Roads: A Guide to Seasonal Car Care
December 07

As winter descends upon us, blanketing the landscape in a serene layer of snow (hopefully), it's time to ensure that your vehicle is prepared to navigate the challenges that the season brings. At the Bob Sight Auto Group, with Ford and Kia dealerships in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Independence, we understand the importance of winter car care. We get our share of it around here! With that said, let's walk you through the essential steps to ensure your Ford, Kia, or any other car for that matter, is ready for safe and smooth journeys throughout the colder months.

Winter Tires: The Foundation of Safety

The first line of defense against slippery winter roads is a set of reliable winter tires. Staying on the road is usually important, probably more so in the winter. Unlike all-season tires, winter tires are specifically designed to provide better traction on icy and snow-covered surfaces. Our dealerships offer a range of tire options suitable for your Ford or Kia, ensuring that your vehicle stays firmly planted on the road, no matter the conditions.

Battery Health: Don't Let the Cold Leave You Stranded

Cold temperatures can take a toll on your car's battery. Before winter sets in, have your battery tested to ensure it's in good condition. If it's nearing the end of its lifespan, consider replacing it proactively to avoid the frustration of a dead battery on a chilly morning. Our expert technicians at Bob Sight Ford and Bob Sight Independence Kia can assess your battery's health and recommend the best course of action.

Fluid Check: Keep Things Running Smoothly

Various fluids in your vehicle play an important role in tackling winter weather. Make sure that your engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant are at appropriate levels and in good condition. Using winter-grade oil can also improve engine performance in colder temperatures. Our service centers at both Ford and Kia dealerships are equipped to perform comprehensive fluid checks and replacements.

Lighting and Visibility: See and Be Seen

Winter days are shorter, and visibility is often compromised by snow and ice. Check all exterior lights, including headlights, taillights, and turn signals, to ensure they are functioning correctly. Consider upgrading to brighter bulbs for improved visibility. Also, replace worn wiper blades and fill the windshield washer fluid reservoir with a winter-grade solution to enhance visibility during wintry conditions.

Brake Inspection: Stopping Power Matters Most

Your brakes are your vehicle's most critical safety feature. Have your brakes inspected to ensure they are in good working condition. Icy roads require responsive braking, and our skilled technicians can assess your brake system to guarantee optimal performance.

Emergency Kit: Prepare for the Unexpected

Assemble a winter emergency kit to keep in your vehicle. Include essentials such as a blanket, flashlight, extra batteries, a first aid kit, and non-perishable snacks. Being prepared for unexpected situations is essential for your safety and the safety of your passengers.

Professional Winterization Services: Let Us Handle the Details

For a comprehensive winter readiness check, consider our professional winterization services. Our skilled technicians at Bob Sight Ford and Bob Sight Independence Kia can perform a thorough inspection of your Ford or Kia, addressing any potential issues and ensuring your vehicle is equipped to handle winter's challenges.

In conclusion, winter car care is not just a routine; it's a necessity for safe and stress-free winter driving. At Bob Sight Auto Group, we are committed to helping you navigate the winter roads with confidence. Schedule a service appointment at our Ford dealership in Lee's Summit or our Kia dealership in Independence, and let us ensure that your vehicle is prepared to embrace the beauty of winter while keeping you and yours safe on the road.

Spotlight: The 2024 Ford Mustang
January 31

As the now seventh generation of the classic model, the new 2024 Ford Mustang has a lot to live to. This new incarnation promises an overhauled appearance, enhanced performance, and a wealth of cutting-edge technology. If you're looking forward to taking the new Mustang for a spin around Kansas City, continue reading as our Bob Sight team examines everything new with the 2024 model.

Let’s talk about engines, because since it’s Mustang we’re talking about, that’s probably why you’re here. An upgraded turbocharged 2.3-liter, four-cylinder EcoBoost is the new standard for the 2024 model. Thanks to its modular power cylinder, it will generate 315 horsepower, five more horses than its predecessor's base model motor.

For the GT or the “Dark Horse” model, a new 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 is available either with the GT, or standard with the Dark Horse. This is Ford's most powerful engine in this class, and it produces 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque in the GT and 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft in the Dark Horse. With the performance exhaust, the GT's stats climb to an astonishing 486 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. This makes the previous Coyote V-8, which had 450 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, look puny in comparison.

Next, let’s talk about the exterior. The 2024 is easily recognizable as its own, but it’s still a Mustang. It has revised versions of the Mustang headlights, taillights, and a hexagonal grille, giving it a more appropriately contemporary feel. Vapor Blue and Yellow Splash are new paint colors available exclusively with the 2024 model. The new optional Bronze Design Series appearance package, with stylish bronze badging and Sinister Bronze-painted aluminum wheels, lets you further customize its look.

As for the interior, Ford offers six unique “environments”, each with their own accent-color seatbelts and stitching, so you can select the one that fits you best: just a few are the Black Onyx, Space Gray, and Carmine Red. As you can imagine, there's a style to suit everyone. The materials of the upholstery vary from cloth, to microsuede, and leather.

The steering wheel has also had a style makeover this time. The most striking difference is the flat bottom, which encourages more precise hand placement. Ford has also simplified the design with fewer buttons, making it more user-friendly.

And what about the technology? A 12.4-inch digital gauge cluster and 13.2-inch infotainment screen are the new Mustang’s main features. You can customize the display with your preferred colors and gauges. You can also choose a calm screen that only shows key details. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, and you can use voice commands to control your car with Amazon Alexa and Ford Streaming connectivity. You can also add a wireless smartphone charger to reduce cord clutter.

Ford has added new overhead USB ports for dash cameras to meet the growing demand for this technology. The new Remote Rev function on the key fob is a lot of fun, even though it's not essential technology. This clever feature lets you rev up the engine with the touch of a button to impress your friends from outside the Mustang. Ford Power-Up software capability helps you keep your Mustang's technology up to date.

If you're interested in taking a closer look at the 2024 Mustang, we invite you to come see us at Bob Sight Ford in Lee's Summit. We have a variety of models in stock, and our knowledgeable staff would be happy to answer any questions you have. You can also schedule a test drive to experience the Mustang's power and performance firsthand.

100 Years of Sight: Steering Success from Kansas City to Lawrence
February 12

The story of the Sight family's legacy in the automotive industry is one of innovation, commitment, and community woven through the heart of Kansas City for over a century. It's a tale that begins in the roaring twenties and extends into the present, marking not only the growth of a family business but the evolution of a community's relationship with the automobile.

The Early Years: Foundations of Excellence

The journey started in 1923 when Jack Sight, an ambitious young man with a passion for cars and a knack for business, opened Sight Brothers Chevrolet with his brother, the first Chevrolet franchise in Kansas City. This marked the beginning of what would become a deeply-rooted family tradition in the auto industry. Jack Sight's dealership was not just a business; it became a community staple, a place where trust and customer service were as important as the cars sold.

Transition and Expansion: The Second Generation

After Jack's passing in 1957, the torch was passed to his sons, Bob and Bill Sight. They inherited not just a business, but a legacy. Bob and Bill, understanding the foundation laid by their father, continued to cultivate the dealership's reputation for quality and integrity. However, in 1966, Bob Sight took a bold step, leaving the Chevrolet store to acquire Village Mercury in Overland Park, Kansas. This move was more than a change in brand; it was a testament to Bob's foresight and adaptability, qualities that would come to define the Sight family's approach to business.

Bob Sight later added Lincoln to the dealership, creating Bob Sight Lincoln Mercury, a name that would become synonymous with luxury and excellence in the Kansas City area. Meanwhile, Bill Sight continued to helm the original Sight Brothers Chevrolet dealership, ensuring that the family's presence in the Chevrolet market remained strong and consistent.

A Legacy of Innovation and Community Involvement

The Sight family's business approach has always been about more than just selling cars. It's been about building relationships, about being a trustworthy and dependable presence in the community. This philosophy is evident not only in their customer service practices but in their involvement in local events and charities. The Sight name is not just a brand; it's a part of the Kansas City community's fabric.

The New Chapter: Expansion into Lawrence, Kansas

In a move that marks both a continuation and an evolution of the family legacy, the family has expanded their automotive reach into Lawrence, Kansas. This expansion is not just a business venture; it's a step into a new community, with a commitment to bring the same level of service, quality, and community involvement that has been their hallmark in Kansas City for over a century.

The Sight family's arrival in Lawrence is headlined by the acquisition of the Bob Sight Honda and Bob Sight Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM dealerships. This expansion is a clear signal of the family's ongoing commitment to growth and adaptation, always looking forward while staying true to the values that have defined their success.

A Century-Long Journey: Reflecting and Looking Forward

As we look back on the Sight family's journey through the automotive landscape of Kansas City, and now Lawrence, we see more than a business history; we see a story of resilience, adaptability, and a deep-seated commitment to community. From the first Chevrolet franchise in Kansas City to the newest expansions in Lawrence, the Sight family has navigated changes in the automotive industry, economic landscapes, and consumer needs with a steady hand and a clear vision.

Their legacy is not just in the cars they've sold or the dealerships they've opened; it's in the relationships they've built, the trust they've earned, and the community they've served. As the Sight family enters this new chapter in Lawrence, they carry with them a century of lessons, experiences, and successes, ready to be a part of a new community, to build new relationships, and to continue a journey that began over 100 years ago in Kansas City.
